GENERAL

1. Abstracts can only be submitted online via the online abstract submission form that can be found in the section “Call for Abstracts” on the official WBC 2022 website: https://www.wbc-madrid2022.com/
2. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
3. Abstracts sent by post, fax or email will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made.

DEFINITIONS

• Contact person: is the submitting author, the person who submits the abstract.
• Presenting author: person who will physically present the abstract at the congress and who is marked as the presenter in the program.

RULES

Failure to observe these guidelines may result in disqualification.

1. Go to https://www.wbc-madrid2022.com/ on the Internet. Click on the “Call for abstracts” tab.
2. The correct topic must be selected to ensure correct scoring. The content of the abstract must be topic related.
3. Abstracts must contain data and meet international ethical standards.
4. Abbreviations should be defined.
5. Trade names cannot be mentioned in the title. However, trade names in brackets will be accepted in the body of the text.
6. The abstract should be a minimum of 215 words and cannot contain more than 700 words.
7. Title and authors must not be included together with the text. There are special text fields to include this information
8. The abstract must be structured into the following sections:
   • Objectives
   • Materials and methods
   • Results
   • Conclusions
9. Images and graphics are NOT allowed.
10. If you have successfully submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation number. If no confirmation number is received, the abstract cannot be considered as successfully submitted. If you leave, the system without finishing the process all data will be lost. Please contact the scientific secretariat if you have not receive the acknowledgement of receipt by email after the submission.
11. You will be able to modify your submission until the submission deadline. Use the online submission form to access your submission again using the contact-person email address and the password received in the acknowledgement of receipt. *Please, check the FAQ section to revise this option.
12. Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proof reading will be done.
13. If you need to withdraw your abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

AFTER THE SUBMISSION

Failure to observe these guidelines may result in disqualification.

1. The reviewers will judge the abstracts according to the relevance to WBC 2022. They will assess the standard of English, objectivity of statements, description of the work, suitability of methods to aims, conclusions confirmed by objective results, ethics, scientific value, potential scientific value, originality of work and overall impression.
2. The submitting author will be notified in May 2022 whether the abstract has been accepted. Notifications will be sent via email to the email address provided during submission (contact person and presenting author). It is the authors’ responsibility to ensure that emails from WBC 2022 can reach them. Within the notification, authors will be informed of the date, time and form of the presentation.
3. Please note that all abstract presenters are required to register to attend the meeting.

PUBLICATION POLICY

All abstracts accepted for presentation (oral or poster) will be published within the official abstract book of the meeting and it will be given to attendees on a pen drive.

There is the option to request a printed version through the registration form by July 15^th 2022.
